The best place to stay in Vernon!

Vernon has a ton to do all winter long, but if you’re looking for a break from all the great outdoor activities up on the ski hill and throughout the valley, here are some suggestions for what do AFTER you’re done skiing for the day!

If winter has a soundtrack it’s almost certainly the blues. Not because winter is sad, but because deep bluesy riffs just seem to fill a room, making it cozier and warmer than before! That’s why the Winter Blues Festival at the Creekside Theatre is a hit every year. Featuring good food, great drinks and even better music, it just goes to show that the best way to beat the winter blues is blues in the winter!

Taking place on January 19, this event has three stages, five acts and an optional supper of delicious ribs (SPOILERS: you want the ribs). Event mainstays Jim Byrnes and Rick 'Poppa Dawg' Halisheff return, but newcomers Harpdog Brown & the Uptown Blues Band have the reputation of blowing the roof off the place with incredible blues musicianship! This is a blast every year – don’t miss out.

Prop comic Alex Zerbe is a zany maniac – in other words, a Zaniac! A performer who has appeared on America’s Got Talent, judge Piers Morgan called him “the total package.” A combination of a juggler, clown, magician and stand-up comic, the Zaniac’s hour-long stage show is a hit with kids and adults alike. That’s because his incredible feats of physical skill combine with his manic comic energy to produce something that’s entirely new… in other words, a Zaniac! Zerbe will be performing at the Vernon District Performing Arts Centre for a matinee show on Sunday, January 20 – you and your kids will love it!

Whatever brings you to Vernon, you’ll have your best stay by booking a room at the Village Green Hotel. Centrally located near all of Vernon’s hottest attractions, we’re a convenient and comfortable home away from home!
