Summer’s nearly over, but that doesn’t mean you have to let it go quite yet! Make the most of the summer by coming to Vernon this August – enjoy our lakes and hiking trails by the day, and these fun events in the evening!

Celebrating its 10th year, Riot on The Roof is a soiree thrown by the Vernon Art Gallery that transforms the top floor of the Downtown Vernon Parkade into an art installation and party space! This is a lively event that has come to be a recurring favourite here in Vernon!  Come to see the incredible local artwork, have a glass of wine (or three) and enjoy an evening of fun, imagination, live music and more! Takes place August 25, from 7 to 11 PM

Neil Diamond is one of the greatest songwriters of all time, penning a series of instant classics that made the whole world sing along. Try NOT to sing “bah bah bahhh” during the chorus of “Sweet Caroline” – it can’t be done.

Of course, when you’re that famous, you command any ticket price you ask for; tickets for Neil Diamond have been sold for over four digits – but if what you truly love is music, then you don’t need to pay that much money, because music is everywhere. And on August 31, the music will be at The Green Pub when Nearly Neil comes to town. One of the most acclaimed tribute acts in the world, Nearly Neil brings a world-class concert experience to intimate spaces, providing a convincing facsimile of Neil Diamond’s entire act. If you’ve never seen Nearly Neil work his magic, you are missing out!

When visiting Vernon, make sure you have the best possible stay by booking a room at the Village Green Hotel. Our fully air-conditioned building, outdoor courtyard and indoor pool will all help you keep cool in the summer heat!
