Just because fall is here doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do in the North Okanagan!

Fall is harvest time in the Okanagan – after the heat of the summer months sweetens the fruit, it’s time for all those amazing apples to be collected and enjoyed!

Want to take part in the season? Then head to Davison Orchards every weekend in September to tour the orchards, learning how to pick your own apples! It doesn’t get much fresher than that! And when you’re done, enjoy cider, pie, and plenty of other apple treats! This is a local fave every year.

Eddie Della Siepe is one of Canada’s funniest comics! A touring headliner from Toronto, Della Siepe won over crowds as one of the judges of MuchMusic's Video on Trial and has been earning new fans ever since! He combines razor-sharp wit with offbeat observations to create complete hilarity – catch him at the Creekside Theatre in Vernon on September 22!

Vernon’s very own Shane Koyczan is one of the rarest of creatures – a poet whose work is popular, accessible, and celebrated! Even if you think you don’t care for poetry, chances are you will still LOVE Shane Koyczan.

One of the most celebrated of a generation of “slam” poets, Koyczan’s uplifting and provocative poetry makes you want to stand up and cheer. He was commissioned to write a poem for the opening of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and many cite his performance as one of the stand-out moments of the opening ceremonies!

You can hear Koyczan at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre on September 24 – don’t miss out!
